In OSIX's Honor!!!..Lambo, yes or no?
So is lambo really worth it? I heard it was crazy money to have it done and all it really does is make your doors open in a different way. I saw alot of that kind of thing on the Rap channel..B.E.T I believe they were doing donuts in a slick parking lot with 20's with the lambo doors open, hanging out and flinging around their ice medalions. Is this a new trend that im not picking up on? The more meets I go to, the more Z's have the lambo conversion. Havent been in the Z scene for long, but from what I remember, everyone gives people sh*t who have M3 mirrors on their civics/integras, or
M3 or Z3 fenders, when its not that car. Not starting any beef, thought I would bring the topic up in a "different" manor. Discuss. Errr body get ur roll on
I just threw up in my mouth alittle....

See, now this was the proper way to start this debate....Thank you SilverstonE-06.
(You guys are too damn funny)
Lambo doors are just a visual mod like any other. Just because it's a "standard" of the Lamborghini doesn't mean it doesn't have a place in the aftermarket world too. That is of course MHO, and I respect the opinions of others to think it's in poor taste. I liked the mod, so I did it. I show my car, so it was a great "points gainer". To me, saying that vert. doors only belong on Lambo's is kinda like saying CF interior or body panels only belongs on McLaren F1's (or name your hi-end exotic supercar). None of what we do asthetically is really necessary, we do it because we like it.
As for price, I did mine for under 2K, labor included, so they're not that bad.
Yeah, they make the doors open differently (obviously), and the really can be a pain in the ***. My doors don't have the alignment pin like Hugo's do, so my interior door panels get scraped up by people trying to lift them to early. As I tell people, "out, THEN up".
Mike, (Osix), please don't take my closing your thread last night personally, and I don't want you guys to think I'm the evil dictator...er....moderator. It's really not like that. Civility on the boards is paramount, and it always pisses people off when threads get closed. This thread was a great way to have the same debate but with a different tone, and I completely respect your opinion that the Verts are a cheesy mod. In return, it would be nice if you'd respect the fact that some people like this mod and have spent time and money to obtain it.

Xxxxxzibit told me to get corn-rows with my lam-bos.
Onnn a serious note, I think lambo's are "OK" if you have a completely modded show car like kcobean or stillnz, otherwise leave them to the Gallardo and spend your money elsewhere.

Alright, now the fun begins....
Seriously though guys. I would like to think we have all gotten into the modding thing to make our cars unique. To get away from the norm and have something we can distinctly call our car, and not something 20,000 other people have. In that manner I hope we all chose modifications based on what we like and with a goal of where we want to go with them as individuals.
If you are worried about having something on your car people will not like then don't start modding as everyone has different opinions. For that matter don't buy a car as a lot of us don't like specific aspects on many stock cars. Hell, any intelligent person has an opinion on just about everything, but most will convey that opinion with some regard for other people.
Personally I made the choice because it attracts a lot of attention at shows (along with my graphics), but it is by no means practical and in fact is a bit of a pain in the butt a lot of the time. But this is no different then buying the AAM Spec II fuel system that whines and smells of gas at times or the Test Pipes /Open dumps that sometimes set off alarms/smell of exhaust when sitting at lights or lowering the car and having to avoid certain places for fear of damaging our body kits. All of these are trade offs for a specific goal we have for ourselves and our cars. My car is going to be kicking butt as a complete setup: fast as hell on the strip, the looks to catch everyone’s eye and interior/ICE to keep that attention at shows.
To each their own. If you don't like what someone has done, you have the right to say so, BUT don't slam people because you don’t like it. Unless you like people coming up and saying your wife, mother, girlfriend are ugly... same thing applies here. Be tactful please to avoid upsetting other people who care a lot about their cars. Show some respect for the time/effort/money they have put into their cars.
Peace...

LOL... it is all cool man. Everyone is different and I would not have the doors if I wanted to be like everyone else.
I see that this thread is safe so I'm back
It's good to see you guys agreeing and disagreeing like men! I don't think Osix was intentionally trying to step on toes. For a minute there I thought we were going to have a civil war in the Mid-Atlantic forum
