Those guys are terrible they use to be Gaithersburg Nissan. I had quite a few issues with that service dept. If I'm in that Area I take my car to Darcars, much better service IMO.

'Nuff said. That has to be the least trustworthy organization I have ever dealt with, top to bottom.

Man that is some wild stuff. That is exactly why I take a note of my current mileage before I get out my car, check my ecu when I get it back and I (yeah I'm nosey) always try to find a window to the service building so I can watch my car as they pull it in and so on and so forth. Never had to drop my Z off for more than just a few hours. But then again you can never be too sure.

+1 on that. The service manager should have kicked you something free to show he understood the seriousness of the situation. This tech probably has done this before and since his service manager thinks its no big deal, he'll do it again. Your Z is probably fine, but the tech took a hell of a chance. You should have no sympathy for this jerk, if he loses his job it's his own fault

we bought the dealership from rosenthol. still have some of the managment in place . but it takes a couple years to fully transition a dealership from one way of thinking and philosophies to another

Yeah always helps if you have some data logging software... then you have proof if you start seeing 8000RPM spikes all of a sudden when they get back.

I was at NTB a week or so ago when my battery died and the waiting area has an enormous window of the service bays. They were torquing the lugs on a 540i and the car was rocking back and forth. Just as I was thinking that was kind of weird the car rolled forward off the lowered lift and into a wheel mounting thing and apparently punctered out the headlight lense. The guy who owned it was in the room too and saw the whole thing

After talking to my dad I think I'm just going to make sure the dealership knows what happened so it doesn't happen to someone else also and let it go beyond that. There isn't any damage apart from the idle that I can tell (as of yet)... it's just a situation where something could have gone horribly wrong and showing no respect for a customer's car

hahaha, Anna?

Also, they recently became Victory (maybe a year or so ago). The last ownership was such a joke they got like 6 vehicles stolen one night. It was called Gaithersburg Nissan but owned by Rosenthal as already mentioned.
