I have a small propane camping grill if no one else has a grill... It works pretty well for cooking food but the capacity is kinda small. Probably around 6 burgers at a time...

Looks Like I will be bringing my camera as well as my video camera mount and video camera...

Let me know about the grill.

I will bring another small grill, so we should be able to do like 10 burgers at eth same time or so I guess. I am by no means saying I know how to use the damn thing. But I will either have a friend bringing one or I will buy one.

So, Kirkster if you could bring your grill that would be cool. I just got my sticky-pod setup. I hope to have it figured out by Friday, if not, I am sure someone will know how this works.

As for the beer… I know they have facilities to sell beer during some events. I assume since it is a private function that would be OK. But I am not sure if you are allowed to do any more racing after drinking.

I too cant eat that stuff, i have a pretty common disorder called fat syndrome. Cant wait for friday, im tired of detailing fat old men's toys. Seriously, this guy owns a brandnew supercharged Range Rover, a 2.5 million dollar yaht, and a 400k sailboat, and he hasnt used the yaht in 3 years, he decided to use it this summer, so i had to wash and wax it. The ***** is a 62 footer. Im in need of a Z day

Yes we will be subject to standard NHRA rules.
Helmets will be needed for those below 13 I think. I am sure Bert can correct me on that as necessary.
I have one and I know a few other people do also. I am sure we can work something out among us.

Yes, MIR makes you wear jeans. My bro competed in the nopi event with his hatch and when he went to race they made him go into the rest area and put on pants. Pants are a MUST.

13.99 seconds or better a helmet is required.
Shirt should have sleeves. Short sleeves OK. No tank tops for you young muscle bound bucks.
Socks.

Keith go to a motorcycle shop and buy a cheap good looking helmet-under $150 for one. David is correct 13.9 or lower requires a helmet. Good for me this season 11.49 or lower requires a cage-it used to be 11.99 or lower which means I would have needed one. BTW Ive never heard of the shirts having sleeves rule must be David's personal preference not to see anybody's arms

Minimum Clothing for Warmer/Summer Months
Must have Long Pants, not shorts. Sweats may be worn but not Nylon.
A shirt with sleeves like a t-shirt, not a tank top

Weather calls for 30% chance of thunderstorms mid day with showers in the morning. Just a heads up, I know its still early to get a good idea on this. High of 82 degrees though! Anything near 80 degrees and good track prep will mean some killer 60ft times. Killer for lowering ET's, in Bob's case killer for axles

Thumbs up Updated List and Information

Alright guys I have reconfirmed the track for Friday. Right now it looks like it will be hot and humid with some scattered summer thunderstorms… A decision will be made on Thursday, but I would say it looks reasonable.

I also confirmed we can bring beer… BUT they do not want to see any drivers drinking and racing. So the same rules apply as for scuba diving…. You can drink whenever you want, but as soon as you open the top…. No more racing for you. We could bring a cooler and use it to celebrate/congratulate everyone at the end of the day, or any non-driving companions can partake as they desire.

I see there is another couple of threads on convoying in and food/drink. Just remember to bring lots of water/juice or whatever to drink. It is gonna be HOT AS HELL on the track with the humidity and all… I don’t want anyone getting heat stroke or anything. There will of course be a medical team onsite, but lets try not to use them please..

I encourage people to bring any friends or whatever that want to watch or just hang out. We should have plenty of camera and even a couple of removable camera mounts. There should also be a number of helmets running around. Please if you have one bring it, even if you are not sure you will have the times to require it. Someone else that does not have one might discover they need it later in the day with some practice.

I assume some people will be doing various track prep onsite. Please make sure you bring whatever tools you need. I know a good thing to have will be a jack for swapping wheels/tires and a torque bar. If you have any special locking lug nuts, be sure to bring your appropriate adapter in case someone is willing to let you take a run on their DR’s or slicks.

Finally, payment will be made to me in cash. I will pay for the first 16 stickers when I arrive and before we start racing. After that, it will be a pay as you arrive & before you drive kind of thing.

I can’t wait to see everyone on the track and I know it will be well worth it for everyone. I am sure we all learn a few things and I know all of our times will improve over the course of the day.
