This is still on... My car might not be in one piece... but hell, I will remove any necessary body parts to make this happen...
The track has the deposit a few weeks back. If you guys would like to post a reconfirm we can start that next week. This will give the guys who were unsure the opportunity to bow out and let others in.
We should also get an idea if this is completely full (which I think it is) if people would be willing to kick in a few extra bucks to let a few more guys get in on the action. I know not everyone can afford that and realize for some this is a decent chunk of change to take off work for a day and pay for the track fee. But if others that can afford to put in a few extra $$ do so, then we can give as many people as possible the opportunity to experience some straight line fun and see what their cars can really do.
Let me know guys.
FYI: I have been in discussions with a few guys and maybe, just maybe towards the end of the summer (if I am still employed) we will see about renting a road course. I am not sure if that is financially feasible,( I have put WAY too much into this engine build…) but maybe we can at least arrange for a discounted rate for our group on a track day..
Really looking forward to this guys....

I'm still in. I got confirmation from my boss that my request has been approved. If it didn't, I would have just called in sick (cough, cough!) I'm also willing to pay a little more so that others may join the fun.

Looks like my car won't be ready so I'm out but we could definately do the roadcourse thing. My girlfriend's uncle is friends with the guy who owns VIR so maybe we can get a good discount.

I have a good buddy of mine that might be insterested. His name is John Atkins, ( the guy on pinks with the red civic coupe turbo),hes got a hatch now that is in the mid 11's on drag radials, i told him about this event we are doing and if possible im sure him and his partner would like to come so they
can keep on fine tuning their race car. Let me know if its possible, the hatch is a blast to watch

YEa, im tired of honda's to, which Is why I own a Z now, but still fun to watch something built/tuned out of his own garage at his house and is now in the top 3 standings at NOPI for that class. Ive been friends with them for a long time, and to see them finally competing and doing so well is awesome.
Its not that easy with that much WHP in such a light car to run the times he does on drag radials. Just thought it would be cool to have a couple different types of cars there to watch while your not running your Z.

Yes you can just pay me in cash at the event. MIR is a cash only event apparently during the day.
I am thinking an extra $10 from folks will offset a majority of the costs for all of the Mid-A guys that want to join us. So far we had 2 slots open up and I went through the list and see 4 other people that were interested:
Tanderson, USM_HM_350Z, 4shizzle_g-Spot, Tilleys99
If anyone knows these guys and they are still interested, let them know to come here and sign up.
As for the friends/non z owners. I would be happy for them to join us just for some variation, but those extra 6 people sort of tip the scales in the budget department. Either they can pay $75 or we would have to all chip in another $5.
Basically if the list stays as it is, I welcome everyone out on Friday the 26th.. I don't want to have to tell people they can not come since we seem to have a good interest in the event, but I think the # of interested people (now in the upper 20's) is about where we should try to keep it.
We should start thinking of what we are going to do for food and such. I am pretty sure my friend will bring his truck with a small grill and my drag radials. Anyone out there able to bring a grill and we can start deciding on burgers/hotdogs, chips, drinks and stuff?
Anyone thinking about bringing their wives/girlfriends/kids?
Oh, 2 important things.... Will someone have a lowprofile jack for changing tires.. I seem to be missing that critical part in changing my tires... Secondly, does anyone have one of those in-car video systems? What do those mount to for stability in the car? I would love to borrow one for a lap just to see what in the world I am doing in those 13 seconds, cause I swear I rarely remember any of it..
