Default cleaning up the timing cover

anybody know of a polish or method of cleaning the aluminum timing cover.since mine is driven no matter what the weather is my cover is dirty and stained with small pits from the salt.should i use a aluminum polish with a dremel or what.let me know please.

Steel whool and some kind of cleaner to get it looking decent. Polish/sandpaper work if you want to make it bling....

I was going to purchase a powerball mini for this sort of thing. It might work for what you're trying to do.

allreadt tried steel wool it just got torn up,didnt do anything except make a mess.

pictures always prove a point huh???

A bottle is good for like 2 complete polishings (sp?) of rims in as bad of shape as those piaas

I called PIAA one day cause of how poorly their wheels stood up to things like dust and water...wind too.....
They refered me over to a shop that would repolish them for like $150. I called the guy and asked what he used. The rest of the story incorporates things like GOOGLE and the exchange of cash for polish...but i wont bore you with those details
