Thumbs up Hall Nissan in Chesapeake for Warranty work

Just wanted to let everyone know that Hall Nissan in Chesapeake is great for doing warranty work on mondified cars.

As you all know alot of dealers try to say that your warranty is void if you mod your car, when in fact that is not true. The defect has to be directly related to the specific aftermarket part.

I thought I would have problems with the warranty issue out here, but I was very pleased with how Hall Nissan handled everything.

Hope this helps some locals out in the future.

I think it also has to do somewhat with your service advisor. When i first bought my car, before doing anything to it, i spoke to my first service advisor about how he felt about modding... and he simply said to me, "as long as you're not asking me to cover something that went bad because of a mod, i'll do it..."

My car is decently modded (test pipes, full coilovers, sway bars, short shifter, intake, blah blah blaH) and i just took it in a couple of weeks ago, and he did the fuel hose recall, fixed my passenger side window (wouldn't roll down), the grease strips, the rear axle ticking, the fuel not reading full, a new CD changer cause mine used to skip when cold, and the rear hatch shocks all under warranty, even though the car is modded but none of the mods inteferred with the problems.

That's at Rosenthal Nissan in Tysons, his name is Kevin Dean... let him know Ricky recommended you... he's a really nice guy, always been helpful to me

When you say clicking stuff, are you referring too a known issue with the Z and clicking? I have what sounds to me like some sort of rattle/almost a knock when accelerating at higher RPM'S its very odd as it goes away and returns. I have checked around the engine bay and suspension areas and everything looks ok?

Yes there is a TSB for it, dont know the # but the rear axle will click with anychange in throttle input, both of my Z's have had it. whenever I apply or let off the throttle it clicks. Loud enough for me to hear it with the windows down going 30-40 mph. Very annoying, but Nissan says harmless.
