Default ***June 11 Autocross Video***

I uploaded my video from the event. you can do a save as, or wait for the 32 meg video to download (should not take too long, as it is on a good pipe)

http://www.limpidity.org/images/uplo...olo6_11_06.mov

I have my setup included in the video, but just in case I am running Koni single adjustables and a Cusco front swaybar.

I have hoosiers on the car right now AS05s because they were a bit cheaper and I will not be running any national events this year. I would like to run Kumhos but they do not make a 275/35/18

I started the fronts at 38psi and it looked like it was rolling over a bit further than I wanted so I bumped it up to 40. The rear was a bit too loose as the first clip show you at 34psi. I dropped it to 32 and it stayed planted a bit better.

I ended up the day with the Konis at full stiff in the front but did not mess with the rears. I will do some playing next saturday at our test and tune after the autocross at Ripken Stadium. I will have a couple of great drivers there to give the car some runs and get some opinions.

Not too bad of a day. I was only .4 off the lead. I finished 4th behind a Z and two rx-8s... There was definitely more out there but I was not able to find it. Just need to drive faster and break a bit harder.

Let me know what you think.

It is not as hard as it looks, though this course was a visual mess. But it was fun. That run up the hill was loads of fun the only bad part about it was I was all over the rev limiter unfortunately you can't hear that through the wind noise

have you considered reflashing the ecu to bump up the rev limiter? i just had
my ecu flashed by AAM this past week. man i'm impressed. i've had it up to
7200+ not sure how high i can push it. i usually shift before going too deep.
but yeah good runs bro.

Good question. I made 4 runs and if I remember, was off course 3 times. At least in open road racing you have a, ummm, road to follow.

I am sure you were out there cutting .05 lights your first day out dragging as well as you were going down the track at MIR. If you go off course this weekend I will get them to line the course for ya...

Like everything you have to practice a bit. My first two outing were abysmal. If I had 2 on course runs I was lucky. By my third event I was going gangbusters...

I know I could be running harder, as I am not hitting any cones...

I dont remember seeing your car there running, but I was there in the STS afternoon session.. John and Clyde are pretty fast in that RX8, but they werent there to run against Dave Wade and Steve Barber.. they are not anything of short of national level.. I was expecting for BStock to be faster since GStock car also got a 60.9 raw time.. heck even I should have ended up with some kind of 61 and some change, but I am still adapting to the brand new coilovers that I got on the RS.

I'll see you at Ripken next weekend as I will be there all day

btw, the results have been up:
