Default Should I switch spoilers?

Currently, I have the stock g35 wing on my car, but I am thinking of getting a Nismo V1 style wing that is all carbon fiber, the base and everything. I want your honest opinion, should I do the switch?

That picture is actually from last October. I have done a lot since then, got wheels, spacers on the way, just havent taken it out to take new pictures... thats the best picture of the rear I could find. Here's the rims I've got... off topic, but just for reference.

I'm going with what you have. I really like it because it is different. Nismo spoiler is the comformist spoiler. It looks great.. yes... but.. do you want to be part of the croud... or stand out?

I'll go out on a limb and say no spoiler... Nice lip/skirt kit, 1in. drop, and a fat set of rims. I think a smooth line across the top of the car without a spoiler can look nice as **** if you take the time and give it a nice hugged to the ground look.

Just my $.02

I agree with you there, a no spoiler look can be sick, but its too plain for me. I started with no spoiler, but wanted somethin back there. I liked the G35 spoiler on a few Z's I saw and it was much cheaper than the nismo, but the nismo was what i wanted, and i ended up having to pay a lot to get the spoiler to fit on the car.

A 1 inch drop sounds fun though... are there any kits that will give a 1" drop and not make me have to buy a camber kit?

Can I see a rear shot of your car with the g35 wing? Just curious. The sides shots aren't giving it much justice.

Sorry bud, I can't find any online and I will have to look when I get back home later.

I think I am going to hold off on the spoiler for now, lol i mean the poll came out 16 - 15 for the nismo. the deal was only $30 off regular price, and I really need an engine tune, so I will do that instead of getting the spoiler. Thanks for voting and honest opinions!

I am also gonna get some springs here pretty soon, either hotchkis (small drop) tein s-tech (decent drop) or H&R (low low drop).

Let me know what you think!

ordering the teins from JSC speed (they have a great price, as usual) and will have them on within a month, unfortunately not in time for the frederick nissan meet, unless someone wants to help me put them on i could provide beer/pizza provided you know what the hell you are doing lol

Get the Tein S-Techs. Its .7 in the front and 1" in the rear. Takes about 2 hours to install in your driveway.

And dont go with the Nismo, its getting so played out.

Go with the NISMO spoiler. I did and it looks great. Couldn't go with the NISMO OEM spoiler because it didn't cover up the Stock OEM spoiler holes. Aftermarket spoiler. Make sure the spoiler covers up the existing holes.

well i decided to keep what i have as far as the spoiler goes, because i need an engine tune more than i need a spoiler, so that will be getting done august 5th.

Do you know if there are instructions with the springs or is there a write-up anywhere on a diy spring install? i've never messed with them before but if it only takes 2 hours and is easy (i installed intake, plenum spacer, hoses, locks, brakes) then i may just do it myself anyway instead of taking it to the mechanic that I use (used to be in my fraternity, only charges me $35 an hour for anything)

well, with the G35 spoiler there are holes that only a spoiler like the veilside would cover, if i ever take it off for another spoiler the hatch will have to be repaired and repainted, so it will be expensive.
