ahh funny.. i was there with a friend of mine (Black G and red EVO)... were u the guys with the turbo Z?..

 

1.7 60' 12.5@110... but I only got one run at the track. I didn't launch as hard as I could've/should've, so that's what killed my time.
Yup, the turbo '06 and the black Evo IX. Were you with the red Evo running 11's? If so, that damn car sounded bad-***. How's his clutch doing (one of the launches didn't sound so good)?

 

Yeah i was with the red Evo..His clutch is fine,yeah he was runnin low 12's.. but his last run was 11.9. He had been tryin to break 11s all day. Its funny ... because he misses 2nd gear and still can pull of a 12.3-12.4... haha.. his car is crazy fast.

What happened to the turbo Z? Did something go wrong .. i saw it ran a 18 second quarter mile ..and i thought he blew something and then i never saw it again.

 

He's got the same problem as me (and a lot of Evos)... we get locked out of second gear all the damn time after launching.

I wasn't there when he ran that... but it sure as hell was running fine later...

 

Yeah .. what did the turbo Z run? btw my fasest run was a 14.5. My G is stock... and its a 5AT! It was my first time at the track ... i sure didnt have no clue what i was doing.... I launched at about 2k rpm... in MM mode .. shifted right before red line .. and i couldnt imrprove my time. Btw .. my best time 14.5 came when i had the a lot of wheel spin off the line .. i think i launched slightly higher than 2k ... maybe 2.2k. Can anyone suggest how i can improve on my time... oh yeah and my trap speed was consitently 98 mph for all my runs ... i had a lot of 14.7' and 14.6's...

 

arjun,our cars are really pig,s with how much we weigh.the best thing i could say is remove all the extra weight,like spare and tools,anything in the trunk not needed,run 1/4 tank of gas or less,play around with air pressure,and beleive it or not i ran better in full automatic.

 

MY best time was a 13.0 at 107.. I'm pretty happy with it, it's ***** fast!!

Tony I'm calling you out heads up no passengers... I smacked an evo 8 last night with a flash, TBE, and boost controller, by about 3 cars. Is your car that much faster than the evo8? Your car is crazy fast but heads up with no passengers I think it will be alot closer... Maybe I can come up around your area and we can give it a shot.

 

Osix.. what kinda turbo do u have? were u the ST Z at the track?

It's a HUGE difference between the 8 and IX... an 8 with my mods would put down ~30whp/wtq LESS than me. I'll take that challenge... whenever you wanna come down just let me know. Hell, I still got plenty of drink at my place if some of you guys wanna make a night outta it. I'm game bro.
