Help! Best Shop for Oil Change in NOVA
MID-A,
So I need to get a oil change for the second time so far. I have like 9300 miles on it, I know, I shouldn't have waited this long but I just haven't got around to it since I just drive my car on the weekend or really beautiful sunny days. The first one was free on Sheehy Manassas but I will never go there again and don't recommend anyone else go there. Poor service and take forever. Anyways, I need a shop that treats our Z with care when doing a simple oil change. I have enough room in the garage to do an oil change since I have already did it for my truck but I don't want the clean up anymore and taking the used oil a shop for disposal.
What places do you go to get your oil changed in NOVA?
What type of oil do you use?
Is it a good time to switch to synthetic oil now? Or what mileage is a good time to do it?
PS: I also want to get an inspection in NOVA and was wondering where people take their Z's.
Thanks a lot
~Chris

Mobil1, take it to Oil Stop, they're a little expensive ($90-$100) but great for lowered cars since they don't put your car on a lift nor do they jack it up to change your oil. Everyone's a car enthusiast there, talk to em and im sure they'll give you a discount.
It's time for you to switch over, I did it at 8k miles.
If you want an easy inspection, take it to the Sunoco off route 7 near Marshall High School area (they hardly check for anything!), I believe there's a Giant, Long John Silvers, Chevy Chase Bank in the area if you don't know what I'm talking about.

Too bad you guys aren't a little closer to Cumberland, MD...my parents own/operate a Mobil 1 Lube Express there. Thats the best place to get your oil chaged. $60.95 gets you Mobil 1, Mobil 1 Extended Life oil filter, fill all fluids, service & safety check, vac, and windows cleaned in/out!!!
American Lube on Route 50 in Falls Church does all my cars with full synthetic for 60 bones each....I change mine every 7500 miles or every 5K if I was running it hard at the track.
Not the cheapest but they are friendly, patient and they installed my HF Cats for cheap and fast, no appointment last minute!!!
