what dealership did you go to and did you take the tech for a ride to show him? reason being: I get grinding going into fifth. it's not 100% of the time, but OFTEN. last I spoke to Browns in Arlington (HATE THEM), said it'd be $80 diagnostic and most likely not covered under warranty. been happening for like a year now....but like I said, not all the time....urrr....

Is there a TSB on the trannies? If our cars are out of warranty is there no hope for us? I'm only @ 11k but if it happens in the future I'd like to know what actions to take.

don't think there's a TSB...and yeh, unless you have an extended warranty, I think you'd be out of luck

For teh loss I was trying to purchase the extended warranty, but since the car had already gone out they wouldn't sell me one.

Car had already gone out? Of warranty I assume? If your car is still within any type of manufacturers warranty you can always have it "certified" and extend the warranty. Once it runs out though, you're pretty much SOL.
