just ordered a blinder m20
they havent gone off yet but i can post back if and when i have my next encounter with a speed trap
3 hours to install , kind of a pain to run wires through firewall with out drilling a new hole, and you should pick up fuse adapter thing called add an accessory at local car parts store. this makes it really easy to tap for power, i piggy backed mine with a fuse that turns on when ignition is switched
also recommend large zip ties, and 1/2 inch cable hose stuff to enlclose the wires that you run to protect them from the elements and slippage.
siren is very loud so you can mount hidden behind panel and you will still hear it over music, plus you radar/laser will be going off as well when you get hit.

I have a blinder m20 on my Maxima and a bell 7500 laser jammer, radar detector on the z. Work about the same with laser and ive been shot multiple times with both. I will say in 2 years the blinder has been through 2 heads and has another bad one right now.
how did you find out head was bad? from the ready light?
i purchased mine from amazon.com so I have a 1 year unconditional replacement guarantee , im sure this doesnt cover a big rock hitting it or something though.

you get 2 extra transmitters, so you could do the rear or put all 4 up front, i think it would be overkill on a 350z to have all 4 up front. you could always get the m20 and buy 2 extra transmitters and just plug them in later if you wanted to upgrade, the m20 and m40 have the same control box.

Is two really necessary up front? Im just curious and am going to be doing some research into these. WAY cheaper than the K-40 and Beltronics set-ups which I am more familair with.

yes, you must have 2 up front for the thing to work correctly , only having 1 will not give sufficient coverage. it comes with instructions and all that show you placement , as well as a small level thing so you can make sure direction is correct.
I've been doing research on radar detectors and laser jammers for about 2 weeks now and I've seen many people and tests swear by the M20.
The Valentine 1 and Blinder M20 will be on my car shortly

I've been considering getting the m-20 for a little while. I was wondering if it would be better to get the m-20 and have better protection up front, or the escort laser shifter and have pretty decent coverage in the front AND rear. I would consider the m-40, but I have no idea where I would mount the rear units. Do you think that Blinder is that much better than the escort?
The sensors look almost the same as the escort ones. However, I was told that cops are trained to aim the laser at the license plate / headlight area, so I mounted my sensors as far to the left/right (per instructions) and as high as possible (bracket to bumper bar), but I have removed those two plastic panels on the left/right of the grille known as "sight blockers" that you still have. The rear sensor attaches to the top two bolts of the rear license plate on the escort.
My understanding of extra sensors (or senders whatever) is that they are for vehicles like tractor trailers with huge frontal areas, to cover more area. Not needed on a car like the Z or a vette or whatever.
BTW, nice clean install. I placed my alert led at eye level on the pillar pod, so I don't have to look around. I like how the switch/led on yours look very stock and "non-cop informing".
Also, if anyone is really interested in no tickets, look in Barnes and Noble for a book by a former state trooper or anyway, some kind of highway patrol. It is a little thin book in the automotive section, he looks at speeding from the police perspective, what they tend to do, and gives a lot of tips. I didn't buy it, I read it right there, but I found it very informative. The best tools to avoid tickets are your eyesight, good judgement, and appropriate use of power. Laser jammers and radar detectors are only an aid, to be used in conjunction with the others.

as shown on the tests that where conducted by the review websites, the blinder was the only one to provide protection against the newest laser gun operating in stealth mode. I dont remmeber which website but I remember this being the reason I decided for the M20
