Default Does anyone work at Circuit City or Best Buy?

Does anyone work at Circuit City or Best Buy? I'd REALLY like to buy a camcorder to get into some video editing for fun. I'm looking at the Sony DCR-SR100 at circuitcity.com and the DCR-SR80 at bestbuy.com.

Thanks! Much Mid-A love. Happy holidays

you can try www.slickdeals.net too. Sometimes they have really good deals on there.

Reputable online dealers give you warranty, the only problem is that you'd have to ship them your unit and it's a little downtime.

^ yeah that's the part I HATE the most. I can't stand waiting for things. And if I ever have to ship it to them then I'd also probably end up losing on that saved money on shipping costs

Came with best buy warranty and original factory warranty. I know hes workin at the pentagon best buy now and doing home theatre installs for nova. Ill try to reach him.

hey you got that from me lol

but it's true though, I worked at Circuit City for what now, almost 2 years, and I gotta say, you can find almost ANYTHING, including big screen flat panels, for as much as half the price of what ccity of bbuy offers you. And you can find the SAME EXACT WARRANTIES online, YES IN HOME SERVICE for about half price. the reason you pay so much in bbuy or ccity, is because of the service, i.e. associates explaining to you about the different technologies, and sucking up to you and getting you everything you need, you know.....
but I mean if you're just going in to buy movies, cds, games, consoles, ipods, or anything below like $1000, then yeah ccity and best buy are great to shop at, but gps navi, car sterero, ESPECIALLY big screen tvs, whether it's projos, plasmas or lcds, save yourself some money and get it online !! because you're spending in some cases as much as $2000 more for the same tv. the only downside is the shipping, but for a grand or two, I'd be willing to wait that time

I used to work there, it's really crap, there were a few good discounts, example the ECLIPSE AVN navi that's like $2399, the one with the hard drive was $1000, and there was a mitsubishi 65" 1080p tv that was about $3500 and we got it for 1900, but other than that, the discounts are crap. you can always find it cheaper online.
