ok, this is funny.

i am driving down 695 and get on 295s , i notice in front of me someone pulled over and a state pooper scooper behind him with his lights on, hes standing outside next to the drivers door of the guy he has pulled over and he has his pad out. so here i am about to pass this situation and an alien took over my body and decided to stir up the hornets nest. the alien downshifts to 3rd gear and floors it, the roar of an HKS exhaust screams past the them on the side of the road and i dissappear into the night.

thinking nothing of consequences of what just happen i casually drive on my merry way and turn onto rt 100w. low and behold 4 miles hence , lights appear in my rear view mirror

officer: you exhuast is kind of loud dont you think?

me: well sir, it is louder than stock because its an aftermarket exhaust, but its perfectly legal.

officer: well it seemed pretty loud when you passed me. (doh!)

me: thats your call officer, he is my license and registration

officer : goes back to car and calls it in, then comes back 5 mins later

officer : I am writing you a repair order just to make sure its legal

me: ok


Karma just bit me in the ***!! hahaha but I see the positive side to everything, it could have been worse.

had to go to inspection station and have my car looked at, passed inspection, all is good in the neighborhood


next time --- well, I learned my lesson. only twink your exhaust passed a cop with someone pulled over when you are on a R1

i usually give 2 honks @ ppl that are pulled over, but some of my friends also like to do 120mph passes when cops are around for kicks. But considering ya left em for 4 miles and he STILL caught up JUST to pull you over, he must've been pretty pissed! hahaha

Ehhh, when the urge takes over, sometimes it adds a little fun. What the hech, you didn't hurt anyone or anything? I probably would have done the same thing. LOL Although I would have been a little careful taking off into the night. Maybe just hitting the rev limiter on the way by would have given me a good laugh.

Good story though.

im sure i pissed him off pretty good, now he has a story to tell his friends. Im glad he didnt keep me there all night and just wrote me for the exhaust.

when someone is pulled over you should ALWAYS assume a second car is on the way to the scene, and it could be from the direction you are heading into.
