Anyone going? I'm thinking about it. It would be my first track event, and I think it would be awesome. I think its $295 to run that day?

 

I'll be there the 24th and 25th in group 3.

It's a 2 day HPDE event with NASA and I beleive it's already filled up. They have another one next month at the end of March that is still open.

 

check out the other thread about auto x, maybe we can get everyone together for some "parking lot" events

 

Was registered, but had to cancel as I am towing out west that weekend. Going to VIR this weekend - my last expedition to my favorite track for a very long time...

Mazda Drivers is doing the Grand East course in June and Full in September. NASA-MA usually has an event in the end of July, but it's really friggin hot...

 

I'll be instructing there.. it's not just for the day, it's for 2 days for that price.

If you never signed up and ran a track event before, you sign up for group 1.. if you had experience, but you havent been signed off to run solo, you sign up for group 2. Group 3 and group 4 are for basically experienced track drivers, instructors and those are practicing to getting their racing license or time trials license.

Robby, I didn't get a chance to meet you, but I saw your car... somebody told me that you misshifted and have an unfriendly ticking noise (possible bent valve) - is that the case?

It was a good weekend, only fatality was a red turbo G35C that was spewing coolant (probably the head gasket).

Otherwise the track is just as it was last year - no changes at all. Have fun out there guys!
