I got a new job!
Well, after 4 years at tech, numerous writing gigs, lots of experience, and a good degree from a good university - I will be selling cars. And yes, they are Nissans.
If anyone needs a new or used car I will see what I can do. I figured I would do what I know best (since the whole getting a job with my college degree thing hasn't worked out).
Pohanka Nissan in Fredericksburg, look me up for that new Altima coupe as your DD
lol
I am looking forward to it, it will pay the bills and be an experience if nothing else. Anyone with any advice I'm open to it.
Mike

IMO, a college education is as much about understanding concepts you will use throughout your life as it is a technical training.
I think you will be surprised how much your education helps you in selling cars. Savvy people today don't want someone to sell them a car. They want someone to service their need for a car. That requires information and assimilation of it.
To be a success you simply have to do what you do better than others trying to do what you do.
Do do do' do, Do do do' do.

Congrats on graduating man! I will be walking on the 17th of May from GMU (finally) and I too am in the hunt for a job. Thing is, I sold cars BEFORE college, and though it had its moments, for the most part I hated it! Don't give up on finding a job as yet, there are a TON in the area. But if you are still working there in a month or two, I am looking to buy a new Z as my grad gift, so I will look your way
What is your degree in? Good luck on the new job, there's money to be made selling cars, but the hours are what turn me off. A college degree is a great accomplishment, kind of a shame not to use it. What is important is that you're happy.
The new altimas are pretty impressive for family cars... I'd love to have one as a second vehicle.. If you're good at talking to people, you should have no trouble making a good living as a salesman. Nissan is on the rise as far as being one of the more "popular" brands to purchase and the cars pretty much sell themselves. Not only that, but there are other positions as well to fall into ya know. Anyway, congrats and good luck
Thanks everyone. My degree is in professional writing, btw.
Thanks bro, I'm gonna be at FunctionTUNED tomorrow if you are gonna be around. When you talk the GF into buying an Altima let me know lol
I agree, being an english major was great because it really did help me to understand a lot of other subjects. I'm not saying I could go pass an engineering final or anything, but concepts and all that good stuff you mentioned, it is true.
Yeah I will definitely still be there, let me know when you want to look around man. I am sure it will be fine, I've been in sales before many times.
Definitely let me know!!
$90,000 payable to mrpratt, no personal checks please
j/k i don't know the gtr price, most info I have found out on the forums before the dealership knew it anyway.
