A good friend of mine (10 years ago) was caught doing the same speed as you in Virginia (100 mph) and the DA tried to negotiate a 3 day jail sentence. My friend's lawyer thought he could get away with NO jail time and decided to plead not guilty and continue with the case. Well this pissed off the Judge because he/she thought my friend was purposely trying to waste the courts time. Final outcome ... My friend had to do 14 DAYS in jail. I guess the Judge was trying to set him as an example.
BTW I'm not leaving out any details. All he did was speed (mind you excessively).
