No your ok, the factory Z tube is smoother than your stock tube, I was just joking about the minimal gains to be had by using it, it certainly cant hurt.

lol I love the Mid A section, so much amore!

BTW JW Popcharger rules, the power gains between
the 2 are minimal from what I have read up on, one thing
you want to be aware of is the heatsoak issue with these
intakes. Trust me on a ***** hot day you will notice your car
maybe a bit sluggish but once u get the car moving ur good!
I need to get my damn car dynod grrrrrrrrrr I will say that on cool
mornings the car does seem more responsive. I get in at 6am and leave at 230 which is one of the hotter points in the day and it is noticeable that the car seems a bit more sluggish from start up but once on highway it seems more responsive, just my

Regardless of what intake/set-up you run, of course your car will be faster in cooler air. General rule of thumb is 10 degrees difference in temps is at least 1% difference in power.

very true... im not trying to make my car the best in my area in any way (plus im far from anything like it wihtout a twin turbo like gcoupeturbo), so even if i got a cai instead of the pop charger, id be happy with any gains... its the fact that i saved almost $100 doing it makes me happy :-D

Also, every 200ft in elevation you lose 1% in power. Sea lvl FTW

Ummm my pop charger is touching nothing more then the
the Z tube its moutned on and the bracket that it came with that
holds it place and keep it from bumbling around. The fitment was perfect, I do question weather the heat shield does anything but ehh I don't live on a track or track my car so if it makes a difference it's minimal. I can live with that lol

darn.. well, i didnt even know wth a popcharger was until like yesterday.. then after a heated discussion about pc vs cai, i got the pc.. somehow my threads turn out to be really long or disputed lol

i saw some popchargers and heatshields for 110 but w/o ztube... damn tube adds on 80-90

Yeah I forgot ur running a 35 lol 80 to 90 bucks for the tube, lmao I would have just gone to a junk yard and picked one up easily for half that, there are tons of em around the area 3 near where I live And yeah that whole cai vs pc has been a pissing contest since well since way back when. I never argue that they gain power but I was more of a penny pincher, so far i have spent 1000 bucks or a bit less on all of my mods and I am a happy camper! Enjoy your car though the 35s are beauts!

When I got my baseline dyno (actually my only dyno) they put two of these suckers (or should I say blowers) right in front of my bumber. Outside temp was in the low 80's and the fans in front of my bumper were blowing around 15 degrees cooler air at a high rate of speed. Probably equivalent to the to going 60-70 mph. Under these conditions I think you can get a good indication if a CAI is useful or not using a dyno.
