Replacement for the Z - 07 G35 Sport
Some of you may have seen my for-sale thread for my 03 DB Z.
Well I ended up working a deal at Annapolis Infiniti to trade in my 2006 Focus ST (daily driver) and the Z for a new 2007 G35 Sport sedan! I made money on the Z trade in, lost some on the Focus (stupid resale value). But in the end with down payment and a good price for the G, it came out to $4.00 more than I was paying for the two cars (bought the Z used). Plus my insurance dropped almost $1000 a year by making the swap!
So far I love the G, it's a hell of a car. It's the perfect Z replacement because it's got just as much get-up-n-go (supposedly identical 0-60 and in one test a few tenths quicker) and hopefully will be close in handling. I got the Sport model which has 18s, bigger brakes, better suspension, and more bolstered sport seats, along with some random stuff like aluminum pedals, etc.
Inside it's got a 7" screen (no nav) to control everything (of course they have the redundant buttons) and even has AUX-in inputs in the center console for a DVD player, MP3 player, etc. I dig the keyless push-button starter too. You just walk up, get in and start it, pretty sweet. Compared to driving the Focus every day this is a breath of fresh air!
Now I need to check out the G-side of this place.
