VA car property tax time im calling all 06 owners, how much is yours?? I have an 06 bought it sept. 06 and have to pay $486 this year.

 

it depends on where you live and how much you bought your house.
I bought mine for 800K 2 years ago and pay around 9.5K a year.

Its also based on the model, the bastards at Prince William county were charging me almost $450, I was like WTF...........read your property taxes carefully. They stated in there somewhere that it was the GrandTouring I called them up and B!tched'em out so now its down to about $350

I haven't gotten mine yet. It's probably around $300.

To think that the car tax was supposed to be lessened gradually and then phased out by 2009 but when the new regime took over in Richmond, they froze the tax rate (no more cuts) and threw away the phase out.
