Default Need emissions in several months

I have to get emissions next year but just to be ahead of the game does anyone have any suggestions on where to go? My check engine light is on because of no cats. Is there anywhere that I can go to pass? Putting on my test pipes was a pain so I was just curious

Unfortunately no, unless you garage it in a VA county that doesn't require it.

good luck getting that through emmissions, you'll have to find
a place the *<ahem> finda a way to get it through
Theres a place out in manasty, it will cost you but they will more
then likely let it go.

Living in Manassas, I never found one to pass my Z. Finally, I just used a co-workers address out in Winchester and said my car was garaged out there. I was able to get 2 year tags for 70 bucks. You don't have to change your address or anything like that. Just go online, and edit your car listings, and say they are garaged somewhere else. Then your all good.

i'm not sure how Va does their tests but unfortunetly as far as emissions goes, its all in the cats... however, if all your looking to do is clear your check engine light, disconnect your battery for about 10-20min then reconnect it and that will clear the code for approximetly 10-15 key cycles. after doing this a few times I finally just went to function tuned about a week ago and got spacers (cost me $20) that space the O2 out of the test pipe and installed them myself in less than 5min. this combined with disconnection my battery for about 20min to clear the code at time of install, the light has not returned since (knock on wood.) I would highly recommend getting the spacers tho as opposed to starring at that ugly check engine soon light every day, for me it was money well spent! goodluck!

doesnt matter if u dont have a engine light, in va its tail pipe so if you got no cats your not passing emission unless you know a guy. my friend's dad does emissions and thats how i got mine done a while back.

They don't use the sniffer if your car is ODB2.

If you sign into the DMV there should be an option to edit your address, just don't change any of that. Then they will ask you to verify your vehicles, and thats where you can change where your vehicle is garaged. Once you do that, then go to the option to renew your vehicle, and magic, no emissions!
