who in here have gotten tickets for their aftermarket exhaust?? No.VA area.

 

Ive got an apexi N1. Pretty loud, especially the way I drive. Haven't had anything said to me yet...

 

I got the greddy ti-c exhuast.. first day i had it on got pulled over, but my buddy was driving.. the second time i got pull over the cop was nice and let me go.. so 2 times in about 4 months i say. but still no tickets for me~ hahah!

 

was it because of your exhaust or other violation?

 

anything that is obvious such as pipe diameters and so fourth will be
a dead give away. I have gotten pulled over before in my Maxima for
"illegal" exhaust. It was pretty gaytarded, it was a cop in training so
I guess I was the guinea pig....................................joy.

 

both times it was the exhaust.. they both said it was too loud

 

same here. I did have a pig pull me over in my prelude for my mugen exhaust, which is very quite, after i informed him of the law he was supposted to be inforcing (here in GA, anything is fine as long as you have cats and its not over a certin decial level) he still tried to BS his way into giving it to me, i then informed the pig, that i would see his *** for sure in court, and asked for his badge number since he clearly had no idea WTF he was talking about.

Needless to say, he gave up and 'gave me a warning' for a law i didnt break

god i hate ****ing cops

 

only 4 times... 3 times prepay... 1 time i was pissed off enough to goto court and won the case.

oh.... and only 3 tickets for tinting (35% all around.......)

i must have bad luck or something... haha

 

2 tickets for exhaust here. Stay out of Fairfax area. Anywhere else they really won't bother you.

 

I know of 2 people that have gotten tickets for exhaust in VA. And they both had MD tags. I didn't think they could do that.

 

tickets for 35% tinting? maybe bc the 35% tint on top of stock = 33% or something? that sounds stupid.

I've had 30% since early July and no front plate since last summer, with no tickets (at least in regard to those matters )

 

i believe VA law is 50% on front and 35% on rear and back.
i had 35% all around and basically front is illegal...

 

How much is an exhaust ticket now days?

 

i think it was somewhere between $80~90 if you prepaid...

NOVA SUCKS!! I have gotten over 8 tickets for exhaust, 4 for lowered car, and 3 for tinted windows. Granted it was a "Show Prelude" but I was always getting pulled over. Even once cause they thought I had a "BOMB" in my car lol. Damn Fairfax Co. Cops. - By the way Most of the tickets were given in Reston and Fairfax. Some near Herndon.

 

Just tell the officer you already paid your exhaust tax for the year

you can hear my car from 3 blocks away.

 

Im definantly not driving in Virginia
