Default New Exhaust! (Vid, Pics, Review)

Well I went up to AAM today around 1000. Walked in and was greeted by Clint and my new exhaust Clint gave me a tour of the place, met Mike, and then rolled out to install. Made it to the shop I use at around 1130. Go figure every bay is taken! I finally get a lift at around 1. Took my old Y off, and then started to bolt everything up.

Just to clarify, I checked all the welds, and everything looked awesome.

The Y pipe is nice, the flex's look really solid. They supplied me with 4 gaskets, but they were all 3", so it didn't sit right on the Y and Test pipes. Luckily the TP's are new, so were the gaskets

Install was damn easy. 8 bolts. Everything lined up perfectly. Once installed, I started it up and popped wood. I love the way it sounds, best of all, NO MORE RASP! I took it out for a drive, and noticed instantly a terrible rattle. I also noticed more top end and a little bit of low end torque, that got me happy . Back to the rattle. The pipe that the resonator is on, clears the under brace by just a little. When moving, and even idling, it hits. Which causes a nasty rattle. I plan on fixing this by loosening everything, holding it up with a brace, and tightening each piece down 1 at a time. That should raise it enough to not hit when moving.

Here are some install pics. Also a video, sorry, it get's dark early.

Here is where the rattle is:

The dark video, with ghetto LCD light shining on the tip

Aaaaaand one that I know all you Mid-A people will be able to spot from a mile away

In the end, I'm VERY VERY happy with it. I don't think I will miss my Apexi one bit. Thanks to Altered for hooking me up, Clint was always there when I had questions. I had absolutely no problems with Mike, very helpful and easy to deal with.

No need to bash, this thread is about the exhaust, not the company...

SEXY exhaust! Will adding washers to the bolts on the brace solve the issue?

Sounds AWESOME... especially for having test pipes.

Now go get some drive-by's down by the golf course (my fave spot).

What kind of car did you used to have there? Did you have that old red eclipse? License plate said something like RICIN IT??? That car sticks out for some reason haha.

Well I was up there today for about 30 minutes. Props to 4shizzle for giving me the idea to loosen all the holts, raise each component up one at a time with a brace, and then tighten down. NO MORE RATTLE!!!!

Loving the sound. I'll get some drive by's later on today, gotta go find a friend to take the shots. I'm headed outside to try to clean my headlights now

HELL no, that Eclipse wasn't mine. That was Sean's wife's Eclipse. I had the red 2G Eclipse that was up there for a while.

I see you found your way to the thread.

The Top Speed sounds great, but is VERY loud. The AAM looks MUCH better (IMO) and is higher quality as well. The tone of the AAM is damn near perfect, even with test pipes.
