Last Late Night Run for 2008
So from the information gathered, I definitely wasn't speeding, and theres no way I could have avoided that car and the ditch at the same time, it was a split second decision to avoid a head on collision which probably would have killed me considering how fast the guy was going, or avoid him on the side. I think I made the right one. But the trooper gave me a reckless which im obviously going to fight now that I know I wasnt speeding and that it was out of my control since there was a car in my lane. Hopefully, with everyones help, I'll get this straighten out with the police and my insurance.

Thai said that the cop drove the corner a few times after we left and reported that he couldn't take it over 35 without feeling it give out. News flash Jake: you didn't have another DAMN CAR coming at you head on, ON A CORNER! Plus your Crown Vic has retard fat handling. Unfair assumption. See you in court.
Glad you're ok. Sorry about the car
As for the ticket - find out the speed limit on the road and take the ticket to court. Just an FYI - since the cop saw fit to ticket you, you're insurance company may haggle with you over paying off the car... What a f'ked up thing to do on the troopers part
BUT, I will also add that without the Honda's license place, color, exact year, etc., it's going to be hard to blame this on a "mystery" guy in court.
Not arguing with you, or anyone else who was actually there, but cops and judges can be suspect when the case provided is based on an unknown. While it's a good damn thing you were rolling with other guys last night - to the po po it looks like a group of guys out whipping their cars around...
Somebody mentioned a camera at a gas station or something? Try to see if there's anything you can do to get a copy of any video that may have captured the Honda coming up/down the road. And be quick about it - most small stores don't keep video much longer than 24-48 hours before re-using the tapes.
Good luck, and sorry again to hear about the ride. But also considering the state that the car was in after the wreck - you had an angel on your side. Glad to hear you walked away with a just few bumps and scrapes...

If we were screwing up..we would of said a deer was in the road and most of us would of left, but because we had nothing to hide..we stuck around and handled it right..that cop knew we either we really smart or not guilty.

*****!
I am just thankful that my new Engine Management System is programed to keep my car under 60MPH!
