Honestly, what's the point? For a new engine with 0 miles and you get the nifty HR motor? Take example: Gooey, biggest mistake of his life was:

1. Be a ricer
2. bought an 07 only to post this:

i was thinking either boosting my 03 or building an na one if i went with a new one. Plus my car alarm goes off randomly for no reason in the middle of the night or during the day. any way to turn off the car alarm?

edit - it is the factory alarm

I had an '04 but didn't trade it in for my '07. I actually sold it when I bought my house just to free up some debt. If the '03 is paid off or close to it, I'd say keep it but the new VQ35HR is definitely a nice motor. I love my '07 and can definitely feel the additional power especially at top end. I even pulled pretty hard on my buddies '06 Z. I was bone stock at the time and he had intake/exhaust.

Plans for the car would help in deciding. For me, I wouldnt want to get into payments again for a slightly quicker car NA. ID have more fun with a paid off 03' boosted than any NA bolt-on HR...

I would wait. You don't want to be one of the ones that gets the 08 and then when the 09 (370z/400z what ever the hell is going to be) comes out (if it does) you be kicking yourself in the a$$. Boost your 03

There will always be a better car. For me, I've become kinda attached to my 03. I thought I would ditch it after a few years but at this point I suspect I'll just go FI once I seriously start considering getting rid of her. It'll be cheaper and I'll probably end up having more fun.

is there anyway to disable the factory alarm? that shiiiit is annoying when it goes off for no reason, makes me want to hit it with a sledgehammer...haha thats almost worth trading it in so i don't have to deal with that anymore...i took it in to the dealer and they said they can't do anything unless it happens there...the cars not paid off yet but i could get lower payments on a new enthusiast model or something
