definitely, this is more of a ranting situation. a clear concise well-written argument would probably follow later and be delivered to the dealership as well as corporate management.

it is sad but we probably have to bring a digital camera and take several photos of the interior and exterior of the car (with mileage shown) including dates when the car is dropped off at the dealership. Later, take more photos and compare. dealerships just can't be trusted these days. we all know what mechanics do when they see a performance car. If i could pull up a chair and sit right by my car while it is being worked on, I would in a heart beat.

Once again, that is why Function tuned is a great place to go. You can hang out in the shop and watch your car being worked on as well as receive explanations of what is being done.

The service manager is Ron Bittenger right? You have my blessing to go off on him for the way he pissed me off. GO FOR THE JUGULAR! As leonidas would say...'Give them nothing, but take EVERYthing'.

When I went to get an OEM spoiler put on the Z at a local shop, I printed out a form saying what I wanted done, wrote down how many miles were on the Z when I dropped it off, and how many miles should be on the Z when I picked her up. I also took pics of the milage, trip A and B.

For some reason, I kind of did not trust a bunch of young red necks with the Z...

Got her back and everything was fine

Dude...I can completely relate. Back in around 95-96, I had a Dodge Stealth that one of the lot hands at the stealership down in Woodbridge took on a joyride and ran it off the road. When I picked the car up, it was parked so close to the back end of another car that you couldn't walk between them (so I couldn't see the damage). Thus, I drove the car off the lot w/ the damage. When I found it, I went back pissed as hell and told them to fix my car or heads would roll. They said "we'll take care of it" and then gave me a quote to fix the cosmetic damage, but not the radiator (which had no less than 5 pounds of grass and mud packed up into it, fins bent all to hell) and radiator supports. I said "fine, I'm getting a lawyer." When my lawyer contacted the dealership, the dealer said "we have 6 people who will testify that that car left here in perfect condition, we're not settling anything". I was soooooo pissed, I went to that dealers used car department and traded the Stealth in for damn near what I paid for it and got a cherry RX-7 Turbo-II that never ever gave me a lick of trouble the entire time I owned it.

Stick to your guns, 'cause the dealer is gonna try to f*** you, it's what they do.

I have honestly never been so pissed off in my life. Funny thing is, I swore I would never own another Dodge product after that experience, and look at my dumb *** now!

well we will see what happens. NissanUSA said they would call me tomorrow to see how to resolve this problem. I’m sure they will fix the front bumper by giving me a news one, but when it comes to my turbo stuff if they don’t cover there will be a lawsuit.

Yeah whenever I have to go to the stealership for work, I always document the milage, take pics, and make a note to the advisors that there is no damage to the bumper, wheels, etc.. so far nothing bad has happened
