As a resident of Fairfax County, Virginia, I love this time of year: personal property taxes! That time of year when the fascist government gets to rape you for owning a car. So what do you owe this year?

The county assessed my car's value at $26,500. For my 3 months of ownership, I owe: $150. Seriously, if I had owned this car for the entire year, I would be looking at around $600?

 

i don't even want to know what i owe right now for property tax...

I'm with you on this BS. I bought my Z in October and I received a similar bill. I am originally from NY and I am regretting my decision to register the car down here. Damn taxes

Yep, I figured I got off easy this year with only paying $150 for 3 months. Next year's raping should be even better.

It was nice owning a 98 Prelude... I paid about $120 for my property tax! Even better is my tank-of-a-car 1990 Accord. No tax there!
