If you were the judge jury and executioner, how would you handle this officer? REmember we did not see how this started and really could not hear what the skater was saying. Would you get him off the streets because he does more bad than good? Maybe give the kid a medal for something?

Have you ever put your hands on anybody because of an argument rob? As a defense attorney, I would think that things can get a little heated, has it ever resulted in physical contact?
Bed time, gotta be up early

My point is assaulting kids is wrong, sorry if you don't agree
I never said give the guy the death penalty or some outrageous punishment, I simply said I was writing a letter of concearn under my own accord. I think his punishment should be volunteer work at some sort of skateboard shop or park. (like a week as a councelor at woodward skate camp) Then he can see the brighter side to skateboarding and maybe keep a cooler head next time.

I thought I had siad it was not legal and an assault, but looks like I deleted that post before I sent it.
I would never lay hands on anyone for any reason and sometimes I have to even work with realtors.
I agree the cop was out of line, but the state can probably find that the kid was resisting and the officer did not use unreasonable force to control the situation.
I bet this kids attitude could get more retaliation than this video shows in your line of work.

I totally agree with the fact that we didn't see what happened before hand. But in my opinion, unless that kid threw something at the cop, or put his hands on him, the cop shouldn't have lost his mind on the kid, for merely saying things under his breath. Yes it's disrespectful, in my line of work, respect is one of the most important things, to anybody, no matter what your rank is. Don't mistake my youth for ignorance. I know what discipline, and respect is.
