Default Flashlight Drags

Hey i had went to a couple of these events last year and had a blast. here is how is works these three guys from PA go to local airports in PA and set up drag races you bring whatever you have but it has to be driven in and a registerd car. the race is 1/8mile and you go on the flash of a spot light and the first car to cross the 1/8 mile marker first whens it is safe street racing with out the jail time. you can race whoever you want the events i went to had over 300 differnet cars there raging from ragged out neons to a ferrari here is the link for the site
http://www.alteredgas.com/flashlight_drags.html

and here is a video
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...31557382443766

i know it would probably be a long drive for some of you guys here in the mid atlantic but i will be at all of the Ebensburg, and Waynesbrug events. and it is well worth the 25 bucks you pay to run i ran at least 20 times each time i went

Man that sounds like a blast, is it only a 1/8th or is there a longer stretch?

im in Eldersburg (not too far from you in Mt. Airy...in fact i drive through there to go to work. Rt70 FTW!)
Hagerstown is a lot closer than Edensburg, PA...1hr vs 3hrs? i dont know of any closer Airports to be honest, aside from maybe Frederick.

I doubt that the Hagerstown airport would be an option. It stays fairly busy (even though it's small) all week long...with planes and stuff.

hmm...i work at the Mack Truck plant (I work for Ricoh, i manage the copier fleet there) right down the road. i also have one machine at bowman Logistics which is right next to the airport, and it's not used much so needless to say i dont get up there much. i had just passed by the airport once or twice and remembered it being there.

What about this place?

Deustch American
9401 Ball Rd
Ijamsville, MD
(301) 696-1314

I believe it is private owned, a Porsche service shop. I drove there one time to drop a guy off to pick up his car and I remember there was a strip on the property. IDK if the guy would be insterested in it or not.

I assume Frederick County since it is a short drive from FSK Mall.

I called today and talked to the owner, Denny (very nice guy), and he said that unfortunately he didn't think it would be possible on his property due to insurance and the $800k houses that were just built tight against the property.
