A single exhaust will restrict flow, sure you already know this

I have an agency power single with test pipes and JIC Y-pipe, cut out a small portion of the exhaust and put in a single hi flow cat. Sounds AMAZING!!!!!

Go with the AAM 3" single, that way in the future if you need to go TD you can just buy the other side and the y-pipe replacement section. It's also a local shop so they can test fit it to the car for you.

PS I have cell phone clips of 20-70mph and a second gear pull from 55mph, PM me your cell # (these clips are the clips that convinced Eric the ricer to buy his 3" single)

best sound, best price, no rasp ever, AAM is upgradeable to a true dual. Supras, RX-7's, and other various vehicles have been reliably using 3" single exhausts forever and making extreme power so flow isn't really an issue if you think about it. If a 3" single is good enough for a 600hp Supra why not a 500hp Z?

www.jeimportperformance.com James can do a 4" single for you....

AAM FTW!
Definitely. Go with the AAM single. Amazing products. Read my signature.
(I will have videos tonight of the whole system, so if you can wait one more day maybe i can convince you to go with an AAM setup )

AAM claims that their single makes the most power on NA cars compared to true dual systems.
Im hoping to have a dyno of my setup and see if their claim is true
