There's a shop I take my Lexus that the fellas here should LOVE, it's called www.vipgarageonline.com.

They are the SCCA mid Atlantic and Southeast champs and really know their stuff. Stop by and see Marti, tell him Martin sent you.

+1 for FunctionTuned. Dave is an awesome guy.

I use to work for AAM.

designed and developed their current website, did photography work for them and the banners you see on my350z as well as magazine ad's.

i was promised alot and i worked hard to rebuild their image.. until i became a victim myself.

i was shorted a lot of paychecks and finally it got so bad i just left 1 day. got a paycheck for $450 for 2 weeks of work.. LOL.. wtf right?

seriously though, the employee's mean well cause we love the sport.. but mike just wants to pad his pocket. i wonder if he still add's extra hours to peoples tickets for fun.

I just saw your reply. I think a few people on this board know me, in person. I dont work for AAM and I just moved to the area and am on the boards just to get info and meet fellow Z owners.

AAM did my engine back exhaust and installed my Nismo Shifter and ECU Reflash. I took my car to them they dropped me off at the metro I picked my car up, paid for my mods, and am a happy camper.

Function:Tuned will be recieving my car to install suspension system, BBK, Greddy TT kit, wheels and while it is there Dave a Ray at A&R will work it out so that all my carbon fiber and body pieces get done.

My Z is getting slammed with everything I want on it by the shops I have made the decision to take it to. Get your facts straight before you go talking **** and jumping to conclusions, which you seem to do alot.

To sum it all up, mdracer76, get bent and shut the **** up.

Easy there sugar britches.

On another note I find hilarious that AAM is getting beat by DIY.

I know what you mean. I too used to work for AAM and the same thing happened to me. I was getting shorted on hrs and I never got a final paycheck. I'm sure Mike is still adding hours to get the total up. That used to always **** me off because I was the one that had to try and explain to customers why their ticket just went up ANOTHER $300. That place is a joke, I just feel bad for the people still stuck their that try their best. That was the most frustrating job I've ever had and thats saying something for 14 years in the automotive field!

Guys can we just stop rehashing this bullsh!t.......i mean come on most of us have never had work done at AAM and the ones that did in the past dont even post here anymore or have moved on to a different car.In the automotive repair industry the hardest thing to do is satisfiy every customer.......i know ive been doing this for 31 years.
95% percent of the time it is the customer who has an unrealistic goal for whatever he/she is having done and when that goal is not met it turns into a complaint. The problem here is this is the internet were a lot of bullsh!t takes place.I am not one to say yep all the tuner shops are great or bad but if you do not have direct expeirence with a shop then STFU please.
AAM has never worked on my car but i have bought products from them and Mike even went far above what i expected getting my plenum polished and sent to me asap.

No i am not getting anything free from this post.

If you had been ripped off by AAM like many other past employee's I believe you would have a different outlook on this. I for one am not going to let this go until I recieve all back pay! This just goes to show how much of an un-professional operation AAM is.

I kind of have to agree with Matt. When I was silly enough to have work done at AAM I sat and watched my friend and other guys constantly getting shafted via their paychecks.

I was there on more then 1 payday where 1/2 the shop got their checks and was aksing WTF, why is my check short a couple of $$$? IT would happen again and again, and yet, no offense to the guys working there at the time. They kept working there, they wanted the business to succeed. But it never changed. I was there the day 3 people all quit on the same day for this specific reason (Quang I was there that day).

I guess my last thing is why on the other thread where they post a job opening, could this not be posted. How is that off-topic? Seams to me that these boards are here to inform people, so they can make solid decisions. If former employees say they feel the company is not trust worthy.... Then unless the company wants to file s liable suit. It should stay there to keep people aware this is something they should know about before deciding to accept employment.
The same would be if we knew someone was a thief/scammer and they applied for a position at a company we know. We would not want that company hiring someone that could potentially steal from them.

That is all from me. Matt, Quang, I hope you guys get the money you were owed someday.
