Can you describe what kind of weird noises, and when you are getting them?

By any chance is the weird noise only on de-acceleration? When reaching lower revs?

some do it more than others, it comes with the territory, either ditch the tps and go hi flow cats or just get used to it.

the Z will do it w/ any test pipe. Strups are excellent quality TP's. maybe get a full exhaust instead of running the stock with test pipes. That would be a smarter remedy
