Seasonal Wretched Pungent Odor...
This is a serious matter.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
This weekend I have informed few members of this board/forum about this wretched smell that goes around this time of the year...
No one will say anything about this matter, but I am going to be the one who will bring this subject up because it needs to be brought up. All members have agreed to my findings and ALL ladies know what I am talking about.
Here is the question that I stated toward the members,
Do you smell *** when you are driving down the road???
Yes, You read that right, ***...
WTF. You ladies know what I am talking about, 
all of us do....
So, I really wanted to figure out what was causing this wretched smell. Google and Wik here I ***, I mean come.
According to Google,
"I have never seen or smelled this *** Tree before in my life, but as I live and breathe (softly) I have now. I can only hypothesis that the tree has lain dormant for the past few years due to the fact that spring has gone missing in Philadelphia recently. However, this year the weather has been moderate and the rain plentiful, allowing the *** Tree to bloom, sharing its beautifully delicate white flowers and its awfully pungent odor. I can only imagine what kind of honey bees are attracted to this tree, but I would venture to guess that while they might show up fashionably late, they are fabulously dressed. Bzzz dahling, Bzzz."
and here is/are the answers,
"Apparently there is more than one tree that produces the distinctive smell, including the glossy privet (lingustrum lucidum), Chinese privet (lingustrum sinense), the Chinese "tree of heaven" (ailanthus altissima, used, unsurprisingly, to treat impotency in ancient China) and the Carob tree (ceratonia siliqua)--all of which can be found in the U.S.

I'm very suprised that such a small number of people have encounter this smell. I know in fact if you live/drive/work in Rockville, Potomac (very bad), Gaithersburg, Fredrick, Baltimore, and even in DC, you would have encounter this pungent ordor.
I am very curious how many people are denying the fact that they have smelled this tree/plant before, but just not saying anything about it... I should make a poll about this so its anoymous....

are you from around here eric??? i know you are in AF and probably been to different posts. Trust me, if you never encountered this smell you will soon. Season is almost over so it would not be as bad in up coming month.

I have not yet encountered it, but I do remember one time I was eating at the Wing Stop on RT1, and the stuff they used to clean their tables smelled just like it. It was terrible.
Hopefully I wont come across the smell while driving, because I only drive with my windows down.

Hahaha... I know the EXACT tree you are talking about and it smells JUST like that. I was working on my friends mom's (she's hot) car at a buddy's house and she "came" over to pick it up and as soon as she got out, she said "It smells like *** out here."
