Installing seat harnesses?
I searched and the threads I came across didn't help a whole lot, anyone local know how to install seat harnesses? Let me know I will compensate
yeah I got the lap harnesses in fine, the shoulder harness though I was getting frustrated with. Guess you have to undo the buckle and re-tighten through the harness bar

To tighten the harness you pull down on the strap after you go through the turn-buckle part the second time. Hard to explain. 4-5 point harness is a ***** on the street. My brother has them in his 240sx. It's hard to get anything thats not within your reach.

Noob question.
For a simple Sparco configuration, do all we need is just a harness (6pt or whatever) and a harness bar? I am absolutely new to this after market stuff and after looking at the Sparco harness bar manual, the installation seems to be just a simple bolt on. But on the harness itself all I see "on the product page" is just the nylon harness... what am I suppose to use to bolt it on to the harness bar or the car???? and how's the installation supposed to be like?

The top harness go on the harness bar the sides go on the rails and the front (5 or 6) you have to drill and use the O bolts that come with it and run the harness thru them.

The proper way is with a harness bar or using long harnesses using points farther back in the rear strut tower. Keeping the "pull point" 10 degrees or less from 90 to the back of the seat.
If you do not do this and get into an accident you run the risk of the belts pulling down on you and compressing your spine...NOT good.
Edit: FWIW...Points 5 and 6 (groin belts) should be mounted using the provided "O" bolts and 90 degrees and inline with the bracing in the bottom of the seat. Appropriate seats have the bracing built in.

and be advised you can still get a ticket for no belt. When I had my cage and harnesses, I still got a ticket from a Henrico Co cop. You wont pass inspection either unless your originals are still in and usable.

Subscribing. Pics of how the lap belts are mounted and pics of how they mount to the Sparco harness bar would help me out a ton. I have it all ready for install just don't know exactly how to tackle the project.
