I was getting 14 MPG & 17 MPH w/ the pop charger and hfc... so i decided to removed the pop charger and back to my stock air box.. now i get 15.5 mpg and 19 mph... people on this board getting 23+mpg on their Z. is something wrong w/ my car? mine is 05 w/ 30k miles...
I averaged like 15 after the SC install....hard driving... hard driving before the SC was like 17-19...
even in traffic (Also I have intake and HF Cats) I was getting like 19-23 when I took it easy... Try not to take off that fast, thats were most of the gas is burned...cruising is generally effecient.
My advice....install the HF Cats and Intake...but...
SLOW DOWN!
lol
NOTE I Drive a G with tools, golf clubs and car cleaning kit in trunk (plus sub/AMP)... my car is like 300 lbs more than yours so its like you having 2 extra people in your car and I am getting better gas mileage...
Change your spark plugs, reinstall everything high flowing...run full synthetic oil (pens platinum), only run premium gas!
SLOW DOWN!

Good luck bro.

+1000 , neither do i, i NEVER have air on, plus am always in 4th on streets and 6th on freeway!
wow, I don't know what's up with you guys, but I average 23-24mpg in my bone stock 03 6mt.
The other day I drove about 50 highway miles and got 29mpg. That was at 65-70mph with the A/C on.
Maybe check your air filter, fuel filter, and your cats to see what's wrong.

Are you guys basing this MPG off of your gauge or actual math? I know for a fact that in the 02+ Nissan Maxima the MPG Gauge reads close to 8 MPG higher then what you are really achieving and in some circumstances, even more then 8 MPG.
That would explain a lot. Never trust the computer, always do the math, going to save you a lot of headache in the long run
