Either way you'll feel more bumps, etc. in the road but will be well worth it and the BC coilovers don't really slam the car but will give you a nice ride height

The good thing about the Coils Keith, is that you PICK the height you want the car at. You can go lower, or higher, at any point in time!

Well, how much are you looking to spend, what kind of set up are you looking for? Do you want it for the looks, or the performance? If you want the performance, what kind of usage are you shooting for?

Just do some springs, I'm running tanabe springs.
Why would anyone think about doing coil overs on a DD car? last thing you want to do is change the height and throw off your whole alignment. Only plus side to you keith is you do have a rack at work and can adjust it when ever you feel, only down side is you run the risk of scratching/marking your lips.

springs are also cheap, so that's a big plus.

if you are gonna daily drive it the bilstien is really nice since its progressive in the rear...rides nice and smooth until you get into it and then it firms right up

from what ive read the bc rides pretty rough.

i never knew you werent lowered!

Tanabe NF springs ride soooooo smooth. Shawna had them in her Z, it handled well but rode like a Caddy compared to my suspension.

Huh. Lot of good advice. I have buyer's remorse from an S-tech + Strut
purchase. In retrospect I would have really preferred a set of BC coils
as mentioned above. The flexibility to do what you want is worth the
extra coin imo.

How does coilovers throw off your whole alignment? Even with a spring install, he will need to get an alignment. He said he was going to get a mild drop so coilovers wouldn't really give him a negative effect. Plus it comes with matched shocks that will make the ride a lot better without risking blowing shocks that you get with just a spring install.

I doubt ill get coilovers as i am more into straight line performance then the twistys but i do like the bilstein setup.

So tanabe nf springs ride smooth...........hmmm im gonna have to look into that option.

Bro - Hands down - Tein Flex Coilovers. Plenty of versatility. I love them. If you can make the meet tomorrow, your more then welcome to take a dip. I like a firm ride but still feels good.

I am at least make the meet but prolly not stay too long as i do have a business to run.I just dont see the need for coilovers since i do not do the twistys and all i do is the 1/4 runs.I am now thinking about tokico d spec shocks with tien h spec springs.

the idea of having coilovers is to be able to raise or lower your car depending on what you want to use the car for.

With springs, you lower the car, get a camber kit if needed and get an alignment so everything is within spec, then you're good to go for however long you run the setup.

With coil overs, you install them, get a camber kit, adjust the car so everything is in spec and you're good to go, unless you want to make a change, then it focks everything up and you need to once again get it aligned. every time you make any changes you throw it out of spec and need to redo it.

For a DD car, this is a total PITA unless you're like most people I know who run coilovers and choose to just replace tires more often only getting half the life out of them since the insides turn to crap, rather then making sure the cars suspension is in within spec.
