Thinking about starting up a custom garage design shop. Basically we will come in and build whatever you need in your garage, millwork, custom painting, lift installs, pretty much if you can think it we can do it
Im a project manager in the demo field and my partner is a PM in the construction field so between the two of us we know all the right subs to get this to happen
what do you guys think?

Would you be doing this part time until you build up a bigger client base? I would go for it man. Remember surround yourself with a good team and people that you can trust. That way you can concentrate on building your business. I own a Moonbounce company and real estate company and an IT consultant company on the side. They have provided much needed savings for me in this down economy. In the end it's worth it to start your own business. Just make sure you have a good accountant.

Maybe offer a package deal.
We (you...) come in to clean up their **** and junk whatever they don't want. Then start to design a nice garage for them (maybe photoshop it first?).
As always, do some research on the market demand for this type of service in your area since you are going to be doing 'local' work. Good luck dude, 74% of millionaires are self made often starting from their own home, like my ex-roomate.

So if any of you guys need anything done to your garages let me know, estimates are free

Right now is a great time to start up a business, its slow, people are not willing to spend a lot of money, however, that gives you time to slowly work into things, hopefully you'll have everything setup for when a year or 2... or 3 passes and the country makes a turn around.

Try and work up a few clients before you make anything official, see if you truely want to go through with it.
