It depends on how the roads are down there (pot holes, grooves), for example I would never lower my car if I lived in Boston, ever. Also ca you live with the added stiffness of a firmer suspension? Which Tein suspension product are you looking at getting.

BTW - Welcome.

get a spring/shock combo if its your daily. If you want coils, get Bilstein!

Get coils, you don't HAVE to lower your car

Thumbs up

Stance GR+'s FTMFW {We happen to have a special on them too... } seriously Springs fail and sag and generally dont ride that well if its a low drop.

Coilovers are the way to go as they are rebuildable and fully adjustable. I don't recommend the Teins to be honest with you as I dont think you will enjoy the ride. IMHO

Stance AL+/GR+/GR+ Pro/GR+ Pro SSD Coilover special from IntensePower!

I think you should look into the hotchkis spring and sway setup -- I think thats the best bet for a daily driven Z. Nice little drop, the ride is BETTER THAN STOCK, and noticeable performance gains. I have never heard of anyone having a problem with their springs failing. I wouldn't go out and buy a POS brand like DropZone, but you should be fine on any of the prefered spring setups for our cars.

Agreed Hotchkis is very nice indeed, not a low drop though. Dunno how much drop is desired from the OP however best bang for your buck and ease of install will always go to coilovers. Remember you are lowering the car on stock struts when using coils, these were not intended to be dropped on for long periods, yes they will hold up but again not intended for it.

Like I said In MY HUMBLE OPINION. HKS HiperMax 3 are the SHIZ also!

coilovers or bust. and if ur worrying bout a tein spring setup, then i suggest u not lower the car because not only do those springs suck, but they only lower the Z like . 4 inches.

I have Monoflex on mine spriong rate is 14kg F/R and drive around this town (rockville/college park/ and other crazy *** places) is not that bad, I personally enjoy the firm ride and I think this is the best investment I made on my car.
I thought 14k would be bouncy or even to harsh for the road that I live in, but it rides like a champ.
BTW I have a 04 G35.

If you dont buy his coilovers, I highly suggest Stance coilovers, not the Tein but again just IMHO.

+1, I love taking 20 MPH speed limit ramps at 60MPH +, their is nothing like it.

Oh BTW I'm in Hampton Roads, and I have Tein Flex Type w/ EDFC, and I don't think it's too bad. But comfort sports and super streets are softer.
