https://my350z.com/forum/engine-driv...ysis-info.html

Read and then take advice given. All of the information you will need is in here and backed up, for the most part, by an oil analysis.

my fav is castrol 0w-30 btw

^ Ditto

German Castrol 0w-30 is awesome. There is a great deal of info on the subject, the most expensive oil doesnt always mean its the best. Some oil formulations have better results in the VQ than others. Do your own research, draw your own conclusions, and let us know what you are going to try for your next oil change.

^ If you guys like using M1, you guys should give the 0w-40 a try. Its a very stout oil, the 5w-30 seems to thin out and break down fairly quick.

citymunky, you are wasting a BUNDLE of money by changing it every 3,OOO miles! That's
the b-e-a-u-t-y of synthetic oils, bro'! I do an annual oil-change (I put between 6,OOO
& 7,5OOk on my Touring Coupe, yearly). So, get with the program, man!

German Castrol is great stuff, but i use Moblie 1 5-30w in all my cars. I still change it at the recommended intervals(3750 to 4000 miles)...not that the oil breaksdown, but any good oil cleans the deposits from your engine and that is why you change it, to get rid of the deposits collected by the oil.

Fuction:Tuned is a Motul dealer. Dave can do an oil change for you and get you on your way, or come grab a 5 quart container.

Did you read the vq oil analysis thread?

If you are dead set on Motul, you can of course order a jug online from forged performance or any of the other vendors with online store fronts.

Read the oil reports...if you have a race car engine then motul would be a good choice. For a street car engine it does not get good reviews at all.

Man am i gonna get flamed for this one but its the truth.

^ I got your back on this one -- I would run K-Mart Synthetic if the oil analysis said it was the best choice for the VQ.
