Default Trouble starting this morning 11/18??

Anyone else have trouble starting up your Z this morning? I had to turn the key 4 times before the engine ignited. I'm not sure if it was due to tempature (located in Aspen Hill, MD) or some other factor. I belive the thermostat read 33 degrees outside and I just recently changed the battery.

Too cold for the Z today. The Z stayed warm in the Garage. I was surprised however that my DD started up on the first pull with no problems. I guess she may survive another winter. (unless jackass Mid A drivers claim her before the engine dies)

Hope the Z is ok man

didn't have a problem starting but this is the first time my car has been parked outside in über cold weather so I'm still getting used to an ice cold block idling at nearly 2k rpms for the first minute or so.

It's not so much to take the miles or wear off my Z. Sometimes It's really nice to just get into a normal car, with a cushy suspension, and put in into drive, vice shifting in stop and go traffic. Plus as mentioned before it makes the Z more fun when you don't drive it everyday, plus i have a back seat and 4 doors in my beater for going places with more then one person, and hauing stuff around.

I paid $1700 for my beater. (2001 cavalier) It runs and looks like new like new!

Most people that bash buying a beater is normally cause they spent all their money paying for their Z and can't afford another car. Since the people that can, buy beaters.

I don't see anythign wrong with those who choose to buy a beater for the purpose of keeping the wear off their Z. Yeha it's not $80,000 , but it's still a nice car. And some choose to try to keep it as nice as possible purely out of pride.

I agree.

I will admit, there have been times when i have choosen to not cold start the Z just to go on a short trip to the store, when i could cold start the beater instead knowing i wouldn' be going out again for the rest of the day. Since cold starts are when most engine wear occurs.

I beat both my cars to death, I need a beater just incase the other one blows up. Gotta redline it through every gear to impress the chicks you fly by @ 150+. And if she's alone at a stoplight, I bust out the circular drift. Gets the digits everytime baby.

Jgrizzle did u seriously not drive it cuz it was too cold? haha[/QUOTE]

to be honest that wasnt the reason. Beater was driven because:
I wanted to see how if it started when it was cold.
It has sirius and i wanted to listen to howard stern.
It has been driven in a week and wanted to get some highway time on it.

I immediately regretted my decision:
No heated seats in the beater which FTL
Car was colder because it was outside FTL
Jesus Christ that honda is slow again FTL

needless to stay my a$$ was nice and toasty today BOOYAH
