I sound like a dork and I'm pretending to know what I'm talking about, but that's why you guys love me:
YouTube It! 370z vs 350z
Overall:
the 370z is far superior than the 350z in every department. (Okay, minus the looks but that's subjective!) I'm talking about pure enginuity.
Critique on Suspension Components:
If you had the chance to peek under the car, there's a boat load of extra bracing. A base model 370z is even stiffer and handles better than the Special Edition Nismo 350z (which btw, is selling for a higher price
)
Critique on Bumper Design:
As far as the "vampire fangs" goes, I looked at the aerodynamics of the design and I can't figure out why they made it look like that... unless it's specifically made for aesthetic purposes ONLY. It does not serve any extra helpful features to decrease wind resistance.
Critique on Tail light Design:
The tail light design is good, they have an extra "groove" in them to allow better air flow, me likes. They are also LED standard
Critique on Hood Design:
The hood has a concave design which channels air and is beneficial to aerodynamics, me likes this as well!
Critique on Interior:
Major overhaul. It has a more classy feel now with more functional compartments. A start/stop engine button is introduced (nifty!) I like the seats a lot better. The middle section of the new seats isn't leather so you won't fly everywhere when tackling corners (big problem in the 350z) They seem to still utilize the useless hollow aluminum bar in the back (aesthetics?) I remember Arthur at CT2 would always cut this portion out because the metal was essentially thin as a soda can and did not provide any structural support whatsoever. When installing a custom cage in the 350, most people cut this section out and weld in metal tubes to connect the areas for better support and bracing. I can see this as an option with the 370 in the near future.
Edit: I got info from a guy about the rear aluminum bar: "Its hollow to save weight but it ties the rear suspension together at the top thus "boxing in" the top and bottom components. This prevents flexing and stiffens the chassis." I'm liking the sound of this!
Critique on Wheel areas:
Bigger brakes! YES! We no longer have "brembo," they are labeled "Nissan Sport Brakes" and the Nissan logo is used on the calipers. The rear quarter panels cannot be rolled, I checked. Standard tire size is a big upgrade since the last model. We now have 245/275s! Not to mention the track width is wider and the car is shorter since the last model. If you've read the history of car making, the 370z has what's called, "the magic 99" meaning when you measure the length from front to back, the 99" is proven to be a superior number for maximum handling.
Numbers:
The new 370z puts down 250-255whp
Speed Test:
5.1 seconds to 60 mph (4.9 seconds with 1 foot of rollout like on a drag strip)
quarter-mile in 13.4 seconds at 104.6 mph.
Grip: 0.97g on the skidpad
I'll edit with some more comments later, I gotta stop slackin' off at work

Finally! Someone showed what the new trunk/rear hatch looks like when opened. I searched all over trying to see if the new "smaller" body style meant more or less actual trunk space.
Good review/write up!

Video explaining Syncro-RevMatching for you guys! ![Smilie](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
If you're new at driving, you might need this option for better lap times. However, every manual driver should know how to rev-match and if not, heel-toe shift. To hardcore driving enthusiasts - this feature is extra weight! But it's fun nonetheless!
