Default How much do you pay for FIOS

For any members who have Verizon FIOS, I am just curious as to what everyone is paying for TV, Internet, and phone. Also what are the details of your plan?

20/5 Mbps, 1 HD DVR and 2 SD STB, HBO, Cine, TMC, and phone at 140 per month

I can't wait to get FIOS I am in a more rural area of manassas so its not available it has the highest quality channels and fastest bandwidth, 1 year contract is 99 a month and their telephone NID doesn't suck like comcast which takes forever to connect.

I got all three parts of the FIOS package - phone, computer, and TV. My initial cost for the first three months was $104.00 because I got the HBO movie package. The cost now for the same service (over a year old) is $204.00 per month.

ANybody got static ips (business class) + fios TV? Last time I called they said I couldn't do static IPs business class internet if I had fios TV.

I DONT MEAN plain business class, I mean busniess class WITH static IPS. I'm sick if this ip changing avery couple days stuff.

BTW I pay around $150/mo for fios TV w/dvr and 4 hd boxes + 15/15 internet.

Why do you care if your IP changes? Unless you're hosting something, it shouldn't matter.

I have a static IP plus if you dont want to pay the extra 40 bucks for the buisness connection there is software you can use to update DNS if you are running a website for when you r IP changes... then again I dont know why you need it.

O and I have the TV service

I really need to check this out. These prices are really good compared to the $240 I was paying to D-tv.

I run a biz from home and have a voip PBX (phone system) that doesn't like it's ip changing. I've got workarounds (ddns stuff) but it's still not perfect. Wonder why they told me I couldn't get biz class service if I had TV.

If I understand it correctly, as long as you have good firewall protection,
a static IP is reasonably safe. You're right about having a changing IP like with dialup modem would be the safest bet.
