You can easily find a person in your area to get those swirls out and for a lot cheaper then a shop would do.
What's Google?

I'll check out the autopia forums. Thanks.

I'm nothing but the real deal and only know the "right way" to detail. Nothing like the dealership hack jobs or these random bucket guys around the corner.
Got it, thanks man.

Ok. So I am bringing back this thread because I finally almost finished working on my hood.
Before I just wet sanded my hood with 1500 gritt sand paper then again with 2000 gritt.
I never finished the project then because it was too cold and I did not have a polishing machine.

The steps I did to bring back my hood yesterday.
1) Wash hood.
2) Wet sand hood again with 2000 gritt sand paper.
3) Clay bar hood.
4) Dried hood.
5) Used Turtle Wax Polishing compound with my polisher. Started on slow speed and worked my way up.
5) Used this orange polishing compound.
6) Waxed with this Ice wax.

I am very happy with the results. I messed up on a couple areas and made a couple small marks. Also on certain areas of the hood ie: vents, it was hard to polish. Beyond that I am happy with the results. I am going to go back and try to wet-sand other areas again and finished the project in a week or two.

Sorry about the craptastic phone pictures.
