OK, I've now emailed Tire Rack several times and so far only recieved an automated response. My "consultant" still hasn't mailed me back so I'll just call and see what happens.
So far this ordering tires experience = not so good...

Just got off the phone with a Tire Rack rep and he said that tire manufacturers call 19 inch wheels the forgotten wheel because most companies focus only on 17, 18, and 20+ models. He said the only A/S tire that they carried in a 19 was discontinued over a month ago. He told me to try ordering from Toyo or Falken directly.

Now I'm pissed cuz I wanted them on before the FatBurger meet in March. Guess I'll be the only one still pushing the 17" stockers....

KDWs are wonderful tires. (Minus the road noise you get down the road) but I dont think ricers care about extra noise.

Just get an extra loud ricer exhaust to cover up the road noise. Suggestions are: APS 3" or AAM 3". A Greddy TiC TD such as the one I have works as well if the first 2 aren't possibilities.

Why are you looking for an A/S 19" tire?

I think you'd be better looking for a 19" snow tire.

I switched to Kumho Ecstas after my 1st experience unintentionally going sideways coming from Arundel Mills one day on the stock Potenzas and have stuck with an A/S tire ever since. I don't have a garage, so storing different sets of tires for varying seasons isn't an option for me. I figured an A/S tire would work best since I don't drive the car through snow or ice.

A/S for 19's are rare. I wish you the best of luck but they're going to be harder to find.

So you'd really recommend that I use a winter tire for year round driving? I doubt you drive yours in the winter so what do you typically use?

19 inch wheels are typically used for perfomance on cars.

I was kidding when i said look for a snow tire. You won't find those either for a 19" on a car. Get a mild summer tire with good rain performance. A good "A/S" tire in a 19" application for a car will be nearly impossible to find. Take the guys above advice. They've had good experiences with those tires.

I'm looking at the Falken website right now and already found several dealers within spitting distance from my house. I'll follow up and see what happens.

thanks!

if i wanted a cheap street tire i rather go with the sumitomo HTRZIII.

but honestly... falken azenis rt615 FTMFW.

i went with 255/40/18 front. and 275/35/18 rear.

i went with the bigger fronts to kill some of my understeer. which is has and i love it now. cant wait for AUTO X season to start up again with teh BMW club.
Don't get me wrong but Falken Azenis RT-615's would be hot. Prehaps to someone who wasn't running a 19" Wheel as stated in the 1st thread of this posting.
Azenis is not an option for 19" wheel owners. 452's are though. Good luck. I have seen Kumho's and Fuzion's and Nitto's in 19. However, I haven't really heard how good they are. Toyo is an option too. A total Fail but an option.
Everyone I know that run's the Falken 452's haven't had any issues with em as I know to date.

Good luck with your search man.
