Damn i still have my winter wheels and tires on or i would be there to watch Dave run 13's all day.

 

I was there but didnt see you all. I ended up getting 2 runs in since it was so crowded. First run was a 13.6@105 and the second was a 13.8 @104. I dont know how I picked up 2mph since last year but it happened.

 

I made 2 runs and then got tired of getting 2.1 60' times on street tires. (one of these days I'll just run slicks and go for 12.20s) Ended up going to the fatburger meet and then all over rockville and VA enjoying the nice weather.

edit: I hate internal wastegates. Car was hitting a max of 8 psi boost going down the track and causing me to run slower. yet.....when I was out on the street it would hit 9 psi no problem. my best trap speed was 112 mph.

 

I haven't seen you break out of the 13's yet either with your twins.

Dave-what were your times?

 

I went 13.19 at 112.4 mph with a 2.19 60'. 1/8th mile trap speed was 85 mph. Launch was at 3000 rpm with slipping the clutch as fast as possible. I'll have to find my time slip for the details.

I'm wasting my time on street tires, one of these days I'll run slicks if I have money to replace my drivetrain as well as a way to transport my car home from capitol if it breaks. The launch and the 1-2 shift was killing my times.

 

Dont worry about that as i was running 13.2's bouncing off the rev limiter at 6psi at mason.Just wait to i let her rip with 9psi and the valvebody shifting right away at mason this year...........with heavy *** 19's on street tires.

Man Sunday blew. I got there 20 mins after Dave. Waited an hr and a half to fail tech inspection because my muffler is loose. The inspector was a total douche. Got pissed and left. There was no way my muffler is that damn loose that he couldnt pass me.

 

I got there early, weather was perfect even got some color. I think I got in about 6 passes? I think......

apparently my Helmet isn't SFI(? or something like that), but it's dot approved(it's $500 sport bike helmet) he was like well I'll let you go today, luckly I only waited 30mins or so in tech, I got in the slow lane

fairly frequently. In april test and tune moves to friday nights though. It would be nice to get a group of Zs going from time to time.

I saw a Z with nitrous do 13.80's and another one with bolt ons do 14.80's when I was there sunday.

Its funny because they didnt even check my car sunday. I know for a fact my exhaust is a little loose and they didnt even ask if I had a helmet since I had 13.5 on my sheet. Then the guy didnt even write numbers on my car! On my timeslips it just said 350Z as my number.
