Default any sportbikers in here?

hey all, i'm a new member in the MoCo area and will be picking up a loaded 07GT next week. i thought i'd introduce myself in the meantime, and say i look forward to chillin' with you all at future meets/etc. like many Z-owners it seems, i'm coming from an RSX-S, but i've kinda given up on cars in favor of bikes haha, so i'll be keeping the Z largely stock... on that note, my other Z is an 07 ZX-6R, so i thought i'd ask if anyone in here also rides?

I ride an 06 R6... In the process of selling it to get an 06 R1. 06 was just a great year for Yamaha in my opinion.

Not a fan of the Gixxer. I thought I was until I actually got on one. Just don't like the way they feel. Heavy as hell. I can toss an R6 and R1 around to load on and off a truck by myself so that's a huge reason why I am a fan.
I secrectly touch myself when I think about a Ducati though... mmmmmmhhhhmmmm , er I mean yeah, nice bikes...

I have a 99 R1 - last of the carbureted models - may be selling that this year. Bike is beautiful Yamaha Blue with some extras. It won't keep up with a brand new liter bike (my brother pulled me with his Raven), but it will still walk a new 600cc.

niiice, we'll all have to get together sometime. anyone up for riding to the UMCP meet? i might take the bike with a few buds, tends to be easier than caging with all the cars showing up.

2008 GSX-R1000 374 dry weight
2008 R1 381 dry weight
(pulled from googles 1st listings)

I guess the placement of the weight makes it feel much heavier to you, all of the sport bikes are single digit pounds from each other.

I'm in Anne Arundel county and have a GSX-R

I hate how it looks from the front (cyclops) dislike the fact that its a GIXXER the biggest poser bike in the world, however the seat fits my ***. I'll ride it over an R1/RR anyday, but as I always try to point out, you gotta find the right seat for the right ***, all 4 bikes are great bikes no matter how you look at it.

I'd have to take my car so I could walk you on the highway lol

There's a handful of mid-a guys who ride, I for one am not a fan of motorcycle meets, I'd rather be riding.

If anyone wants to get together and have a pointless ride with no goal in mind, then I'm game. As long as 90% of the ride is made up of backroads.
