Default Strut bar problem - Help

My wife and I installed the plenum spacer today. Well when we tried to put the right side of the strut bar on it would not allow the bolts to go in correctly. The bolts only went in half way and was basicly stuck. I was able to get them out. Is there some thing i can do i need to move the strut bar closer in. I know there are 3 nuts on the bar but, I am not sure how to make it shorter. Please help 350z gods.

My rendiition of a strut bar, passenger side to driver's side {-o-o-o--------}

Loosen up the out side bolts. This should allow you to start turning the passenger side of the strut bar. I believe you should spin back to front if you're holding passenger side to your left side. This will decrease the length of the strut bar. Once everything is on, use the middle nut to loosen/tighten as needed. The outside bolts are to lock it in place.

Hmm, LV2DC huh? I may be doing that soon as well.

The suspension has settled. Its different than when you took the bar off. I believe this is the nut that makes the bar shorter. Don't force anything. I pushed down on the fender, and all the bolts fell in place.

Aww man my stupid self forced it in and now both the bolt and holes are stripped!!! Also i have the 5/16 plenum spacer and i hate putting on the washers, is there a strut bar that is higher than stock so i wouldn't have to use these washers?

I have a greddy strut bar that's thinner than the stock bar which allows more clearance w/o spacers. PM me if anyone wants it.
