I'm switching up from Goodyear Eagle GS-D3's (255/40/18, 285/35/18) to the Vredestein Sessanta's - 265/35/18 and 295/35/18. These are on my RPF1's - 18x9.5 + 15 and 18x10.5 + 15. I hope to get them mounted prior to the Skyline drive cruise...

What PSI are you running? I've had a set of Falken 452's for about two months and so far they suck

They have a greasy feel to them and literally have me hanging on for dear life on wet roads.
I'm wondering if I need to upgrade to a better tire or maybe adjust my PSI?

32-35psi is the recommended tire psi.

Dammit!!!! I researched all through the wheel/tire section and everyone said these were the best bang for the buck for a 19' wheel. Now I'm wishing I just kept the stupid stock wheels on. I got passed this morning on 295 by a stock Z and I couldn't even keep up with her....

When I was running 245/275 I think I ran 42 PSI up front, and 37 PSI in the rear. Somwhere around there. It definitely was more in the front than the rear. I found (and subsequently lost and haven't found again) a spreadsheet for calculating tire pressure, based on vehicle weight distribution, and tire size. It was designed for autocross, so I tried values between what it suggested and the 35 PSI recommended by Nissan.
I wish I could remember the exact pressures I was running, because I *loved* the 255/275 setup with the Goodyears at those pressures. I had complete confidence in the wet with those tires. I don't know how the 452's are in the wet. Could just be a tread design that wasn't optimized for the wet.

I agree with you on wet roads tho. Upgrade
..thats if you want to spend a couple hundred per tire. How many PSI's are puttin into each tire?

And you may be right about needing a better tire. I can always take the beater out on rainy days, but if it happens to rain while I have the Z out I'd be screwed.
