MIR on the 31st of May
Hello all,
I will be going up to MIR on May 31st to run my car down the 1/4 mile. I was wondering if any of you would like to come on out. I am trying to get some of my fellow bimmer friends to come out as well so we can have some friendly competition and just have a good time.
Hope to see some of you out there. I will be there when the gates open at 10am and most likely be gone around 2 or 3pm because I go to church at night so hopefully some of you folks will come out.
Look forward to seeing you out there!
Jon

I still plan on going guys. Anyone else think they may want to come out? Also, my car has been really sluggish as of late and I have a couple codes that are being thrown. One is a MAF and misfires on 1,2,and 3 cylinders as well as an o2 sensor. If I post slower times than normal it may be due to these codes, but I will still show up and take my beating humbly!

Well I didn't see any Z's there yesterday but I did leave around 4:30pm.
I have a slightly better time even though the conditions were crap and I am almost positive that my MAF is bad because with it plugged in I lost 2mph but with it unplugged I gained 2mph. Everyone at the track was way down on trap speeds and times guys that normally run 109mph were running 103-105mph and turning higher ET's so something was up with the air perhaps. Before yesterday my car has only trapped 99mph once. Every other time it has trapped between 100-102mph.
I have the slip and will take a pic of it and post it. It is only slightly better than my last time but pretty darn good considering everyone was running slower. Next time I go back I will have my issues fixed and I will run a 13.2-13.3 ET.
R/T: .194
60': 1.908
330': 5.561
1/8: 8.605
MPH: 81.83
1000': 11.240
1/4: 13.474
MPH: 99.41
I am willing to bet that on a decent day where everyone is trapping where they should I would have hit a 13.3 with not much problem with the launch I had. There is still more in the launch as well and a 1.8 60ft is very possible. My mods are M50 Manifold, Debaffled stock air box, catback (+1 rwhp), and 3.73lsd.
Hopefully some of you will be out there next time I go. It probably won't be for a while, but when I do go I will come back here and put out the invitation. I have a vid and slip and when I can get it on photobuchet I will post it. The vid is cut off at the end so you don't see the time but I will post the slip as well just so you guys don't think I am lying.

DAMN! I totally forgot all about this man sorry. I woke up and started working on my other car. Had to put the engine back together and try to get this wheel off. Those are nice times though. Were you running on street tires?

The times could have been a lot better. I was on stock tire pressure which is about 35-40psi I believe. I also found out last night when changing out my throttle body boot that when my wife pressed the gas pedal down the car throttle body was at about 80% open instead of 100% open . I adjusted it to be 100% open and took it for a spin and the car certainly was faster. However, I still need to get the MAF issue worked out. Thankfully I have unlimited access to a dyno for free so I will doing some testing with the old MAF plugged in, unplugged, and a new MAF as well.
I think on a better day with my issues worked out and 100% throttle I may get much better times. It certainly isn't a 12 second car, but low 13's I think are possible with everything right.
I will try to post up a vid once I can get it on photobucket. I am still trying to find the USB cord so I can transfer the vid to my comp.
