Anyone Know This Guy? Awful Suspicious . . .
Several months ago my Superblack 05 Z was destroyed by thieves. Today, a friend of mine spotted a silver Z in the parking lot of Montgomery College that had some very suspicious parts on it.
The car is silver, but it has a badly-primered hood, bumper and lip that quite possibly could have been black originally. The lip in particular is interesting. Mine was from Intense Motorsports, and I have never seen anyone at any events with this particular lip. The badly-primered one on this car looks strikingly similar to mine.
I will note that my bumper was cut for an intake duct, and it's tough to tell from these cell phone photos if this bumper has been filled in.
The ZTOYZ plates are from Florida. They expire 10/09. Lambda Theta Phi (written on the frame around the plate) is apparently "The First and Largest Latin Fraternity in the Nation." Also, this guy apparently follows the Magic.
Anyway, does anyone know who this is? I've already given the info to Montgomery County's finest, but who knows if they'll do anything. However, if I find out who it is, and the parts turn out to be mine, I certainly will do something about it.
Thanks, guys, and if this dude is innocent, I apologize for putting his plate on the Internet.

Hispanic? nah, only black people steal stuff around here.
I highly doubt you have any chance of getting your stuff back IF that stuff is yours, unless of course you have a way to prove it. With something like car parts, unless you wrote JETSPANK WAS HERE!!! on the inside, I doubt you'll ever win.
=(
theves suck.

I'm actually just wondering if anyone knows this guy. I'd simply like to have a conversation with him.
My Z is long gone. It was totaled by my insurance and sold on eBay. But the parts that were stolen from it have not been found, and, to me, it's a curious coincidence that this car has a hood, bumper and lip which may have originally been black, much like the parts taken from my car.
My understanding is that the Z's VIN is marked somewhere on the hood of the car. If so, that would be just like a "Jetspank was here," but better. Chances are it's been filed off of the stolen part, but even that would be good to know.
And yeah, thieves suck. I got a VW CC after this all went down, which is a nice car and all, but 6 months later I'm still incredibly, incredibly bummed by the loss of my Z.

Dude, I would be all over this case.
That looks awfully weird!!! Who the heck primers their stock hood anymore????
Bumper? Sure, to repaint and stuff, but the hood is more likely to be left as it is since it does not get too much crap on it.
I might be wrong, but I would pursue this just to get back at the bastard!! (if he was the one in fact who did it or bought your pieces)
Oh, and yea, latin people will start stealing Zs as they become cheaper. Same crap that has happened to civics and integras for years now.

Maybe the owner bought the parts off of ebay or CL and has no clue they are stolen. Either way, you said your car is gone and insurance co. made you whole so I suggest you just move on with your life and forget about trying to locate your stolen parts.

this guy isn't on the forums, because if he was then he'd know that it's much cheaper to buy a pre-painted hood/bumper in classifieds... especially in CS. The only ppl I know that roll w/ primered bodyparts are ghetto ppl, aka ppl that jack stuff... or hardcore drag racers who are all into that sleeper look

The coincidence of finding these particular parts on a car, poorly spray-painted with primer, just struck me as odd. BTW, mine was an '05.
Thanks for the info.

But maybe if these are the stolen parts, we can find out if the owner of the car was the thief. Or if anything, he must know or must have the information of whoever sold the parts to him.
If the parts are the stolen ones, we could find out one of the guys who have been stealing around Z parts.
Beat the thief up meet FTW!
